William Buxton began his career in the financial industry in 1984, after following in his father, Clarence Buxton’s footsteps. Both Bill and his dad were inducted into the Equitable Hall of Fame, a prestigious award based on production. During his time in the business, Bill has built an impeccable reputation for client satisfaction. Within the past three years both of his sons have entered into the financial services business, like their father and grandfather before them.

Bill founded Buxton Financial Services in 2008 as a way to better serve his clients and expand his practice. Currently, he manages over $35 million in assets for his valued clients.

Born in Glen Cove, NY, Bill went on to attend CW Post University and James Madison University where he met his wife, Cindy. He earned a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from JMU’s college of business in 1982.

Bill now lives in a small Virginia town where he spends as much time as he can with his family, a wife, four children, and three grandchildren. He enjoys rooting for his New York teams, playing softball, basketball, golf, and racquetball with friends and family, relaxing on the lake, and working in his yard.
